Olivia Holloway Johnson

Olivia, founder and principal of Holloway Quinn, is a designer who blends artistry and practicality to create uniquely livable environments. Olivia’s approach to interior design is collaborative; she listens, observes and interweaves client desires into her design work to achieve expressive balance.

Olivia’s design career started in New York City, where she realized her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Internships with Stella McCartney and Proenza Schouler developed into an assistant design position at Maggy London International. Starting in the fabric room, Olivia rose through the ranks and became lead designer, developing and managing a successful dress line. With a keen eye for fabric, shape and color, Olivia has adapted her fashion experience to a new medium.

Among the notable projects on which Olivia has worked are Stone Porch and Stone Terrace Bed and Breakfast in Evanston, IL and Chestnut Row Homes in Chicago; each a project of Colonel Jennifer Pritzker’s Tawani Enterprises. Olivia’s current projects include custom residences for private clients in Chicago and the North Shore.

Olivia received an M.F.A in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago. She has an Art History degree from Fordham University in New York and additionally attended programs at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago and Parson’s School of Design. Her design influences include her grandmother, “Tibby”, and mother, Colette, both of whom were dedicated artists responsible for exposing Olivia to the world of art at a young age.
